National University CGPA Grading System
The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in National University Bangladesh is calculated based on the grades obtained in each course.
The grading system used in National University Bangladesh is as follows:
Grade | Grade Point |
---|---|
A+ | 4.00 |
A | 3.75 |
A- | 3.50 |
B+ | 3.25 |
B | 3.00 |
B- | 2.75 |
C+ | 2.50 |
C | 2.25 |
D | 2.00 |
F | 0.00 |
To calculate the CGPA, you need to follow these steps:
Multiply the grade point of each course with its credit value to obtain the grade point for that course.
Add up the grade points obtained in all the courses.
Add up the total credit values of all the courses.
Divide the total grade points by the total credit values to get the CGPA.
For example, suppose a student has taken four courses with the following grades and credit values:
Course 1: A, 3 credits
Course 2: B+, 2 credits
Course 3: B-, 4 credits
Course 4: A-, 3 credits
To calculate the CGPA, follow these steps:
Calculate the grade point for each course:
Course 1: 3.75 x 3 = 11.25
Course 2: 3.25 x 2 = 6.50
Course 3: 2.75 x 4 = 11.00
Course 4: 3.50 x 3 = 10.50
Add up the grade points obtained in all the courses: 11.25 + 6.50 + 11.00 + 10.50 = 39.25
Add up the total credit values of all the courses: 3 + 2 + 4 + 3 = 12
Divide the total grade points by the total credit values to get the CGPA: 39.25 / 12 = 3.27
Therefore, the student's CGPA is 3.27.
